Fishing or Scuba Diving Charters out of Galveston or Freeport, Texas
AL's ULTRA CHARTERS runs offshore Texas State Waters fishing charters aboard a beautiful and comfortable 42 foot (loa) sport-fish Chris Craft yacht. These trips are all inclusive, we provide: bait, poles, tackle, deckhand, captain and just about everything you will need to have a great day fishing and all without a fuel surcharge. Some of the fish we fish for are: Snapper, King Fish, Ling, Dorado, Amberjack, Grouper and Red Fish. In addition, Ultra Charters works with other charter boats in the area that provide offshore fishing trips that we may not offer. Such as fishing charters that may require specific types of state or federal waters fishing permits. The Texas State/Federal waters boundary is 10.5 statute miles offshore.
Most trips depart out of Bridge Harbor Yacht Club in Freeport, Texas. From Galveston Texas, Freeport is just a short 20 minute scenic drive south along the coast (see map below for directions). These trips have a departure time of 7:30AM and we will typically have you fishing within 30 to 40 minuets after leaving the dock. We are usually back at the dock by 3:30PM to 4:00PM . After a day of fishing our deckhand will clean, fillet and bag your catch back at the marina at no extra charge. However tipping is highly encouraged and appreciated. All we ask is that you have a fun day fishing!
These fishing trips are run by Capt. Al Manica, a U.S.C.G. Licensed Captain/Merchant Marine Officer and PADI Dive Master with over 18 years professional offshore fishing experience.
"The Carolyn Jane" (pictured above) is a reliable Chris Craft sport fishing yacht. It is big, comfortable and made specifically for offshore fishing. So don't waste your time and money getting sunburned, cramped and beat up on one of those smaller charter boats. Instead get to the fish in style and comfort aboard "The Carolyn Jane". She is a 37 ft. (42' loa) seaworthy fishing boat that has spacious fore and aft decks complete with fishing poles, tackle, bait, experienced deckhand and USCG licensed captain.
"The Carolyn Jane" has a large main salon cabin, sofa, galley, two state rooms, refrigerator, microwave and a private full sized bathroom. She also has some of the latest navigational electronics and rescue safety equipment.

SOME TRIP PREPARATION TIPS
STUFF TO BRING: Bring a light lunch and or snacks along with beverages to keep you hydrated. As is the case with any out door activity, you may want to bring sunscreen and sunglasses. If motion sickness is a concern, we recommend that you bring an over the counter medication such as: Dramamine or Bonine.
FOOT WEAR: Please do not wear shoes that will mark the deck of the boat. Tennis shoes and sandals with light colored soles or boat shoes are fine, however dark colored or black rubber sole foot wear is a big no–no. Thank you for your cooperation.
TIPPING POLICY: Gratuities primarily go to the deckhand and are in addition to the charter fee. Deckhands work exceptionally hard so please be a generous tipper. For a trip consisting of six passengers, a fair tipping amount would be $35.00 to $40.00 from each person. Of course anything higher would be greatly appreciated and tipping the Captain is optional... Thank you.
Most comparable fishing trips range between $1,700.00 - $2,000.00 total and in many cases will add on an additional "fuel charge" which can be as high as $400.00 if not more... but not us! ULTRA FISHING CHARTERS is now offering this trip for an all inclusive total price of only:
DISCOUNT RATES FOR U.S. MILITARY MEMBERS: Ultra Charters also offers a $20.00 discount rate for individual veterans and or active duty personnel presently serving in the United States Military. Some form of military identification is required to receive this discount. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
